So here’s another song I wrote a while back in 2006 redone for youtube on 2013. Everything you see on the video was an actual take in the recording process. So you get a taste of what I do when I’m producing music. The song is about a pretty plain guy who sets his sights on a supermodel quality hot girl. It’s fun because it’s about confidence, and confidence can go along way. Even if you’re a plain ol nice guy (like me! haha). So I try to capture that with an up/midtempo R&B groove, and lyrics that capture the swagger of a guy who is confident.
A fun fact about this song is that I performed it at my sisters wedding. One of the last few times I’ve performed in front of a bunch of people. FYI performing makes me a nervous wreck, so you won’t see me live very much… unless really good friends of mine beg me to do something for their special occasion. Some people think I wrote this song about my sister and her husband… I never really was aware of his pursuit of her, but yeah, it kinda fits. But once you get to know him he’s just as much as superstar as she is. Haha.
Anyway. Enjoy it. I had a lot of fun when I wrote it. Had just as much fun redoing it for video.
